Design & development, from one person who does both.
I'm Kara Prado, a website and software designer based in Lodi, California. I build custom websites and software for businesses that need more than a template.
Kara Prado, FounderMy Story
I trained as a UX/UI designer and spent years working full-time, remotely, for a company based in Southern California, all while living right here in Lodi. I could design a great website, but I couldn't build one, and small business owners in my own town kept asking me to build their sites anyway. I got tired of telling people I only designed, I didn't develop.
That gap is where Prado Pixels came from. A small business usually can't hire a separate designer and a separate developer the way a big company can. They need one person who can do both and hand them something finished and working. So I taught myself development and started building complete websites for the businesses that had been asking. Prado Pixels has run alongside everything else I've done since, including a later move into product engineering, where I worked on tools used by tens of thousands of people around the world.
I've lived in Lodi my whole life, so when I say I'm building this for San Joaquin County, it's not a pitch, it's where I actually live. That combination, real design and development experience plus years of building software at a larger scale, is what Prado Pixels is built on: not just a website, but a finished, functional product built around how your business actually runs.

Small and midsize businesses need more than a stretched template or an agency built for enterprise clients. I started Prado Pixels to close that gap: custom-built websites and software, built at a pace that fits a growing business, delivered by someone who's directly accountable for the result.
